A leading credit company in the Greater Accra Region is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of Credit Recovery, Risk & Assessment Officer.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Credit Recovery, Risk & Assessment Officer to manage credit risks associated with lending and evaluate the creditworthiness of potential borrowers to determine loan eligibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage a portfolio of delinquent loans using sound credit judgment and collection strategies.
• Maintain a loan aging schedule, follow up on recoverability, and prepare requests for settlements.
• Ensure compliance with the company’s credit policies and procedures for loan recovery.
• Prepare monthly reports and reduce non-performing loans through recovery and restructuring efforts.
• Conduct site visits, follow-ups, and initiate demand/reminder letters for defaulting customers.
• Collaborate with the legal department to ensure compliance with both internal and external regulatory requirements.
• Continuously review and update credit policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Proven experience as a credit recovery officer or similar role.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of credit laws and regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and financial software.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, and collections.
• Leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to develop and implement credit policies.
